Medicolegal Services

We offer to assess and provide treatment at the earliest opportunity. A wide range of services are available to our patients and clients coming through medicolegal route following any form of accident/ injury. To avoid any delays, we offer services while the solicitors or insurers are working to gather medical evidence for case settlement. We aim to achieve this through our nationwide network of physiotherapists and other health care professionals available at numerous locations.

Types of medicolegal cases we see:

  • Road traffic accidents/ whiplash related injuries.
  • Accidents or injuries caused at work.
  • Injuries other than RTA caused due to foul play of an organisation.

Collaboration with a team of doctors and provision for diagnostics services will allow us to provide timely and efficient medical reports. This will also incorporate reports provided by physiotherapists/ other health care professionals. All reports will undergo our stringent process of quality checks to ensure reliability and accuracy.

Our nationwide network of clinics means our therapists are within easy reach and ready to provide patients with rehabilitation services.

This includes:

  • Detailed assessment relevant to the condition.
  • Identifying factors affecting treatment outcome for example; ergonomics, postural influence, comorbidities and providing suggestions/ modifications relevant to identified influencing factors.
  • Performing various special tests to rule out underlying problems, which is carried out by our team of experienced physiotherapists.
  • Clinical decision making based on assessment findings and patient involvement in goal setting.
  • Provision of different treatment interventions (please find a list attached under our section of treatment approaches).

Different treatment approaches we use:

  • Deep tissue massage.
  • Myofascial release.
  • Acupuncture.
  • Joint mobilisation and Manipulations.
  • Muscle Strengthening.
  • Sports injuries management.
  • Trigger point release.
  • Electrotherapy (Ultrasound, TENS and interferential).

Other forms of Musculoskeletal conditions we provide service for:

  • Acute soft tissue injury amenable to Musculoskeletal Pain Assessment.
  • Upper / lower limb pain of musculoskeletal origin.
  • Neck pain/Thoracic pain/Low back pain with or without radiculopathy.
  • Sacroiliac joint pain (SIJ).
  • Sports injuries.
  • Temporomandibular joint pain.
  • Exacerbation of osteoarthritis or other chronic joint condition that will benefit from time limited therapy.
  • Pregnancy / Symphysis pubis pain (see exclusions).
  • Post-operative musculoskeletal management.

Type of service provision

Fast track service

After completing triage, which is conducted within 12 hours of referral, if the pain does not resolve with self management within the prescribed time, patients will be referred to a physiotherapist conveniently located. A face to face assessment will be arranged within 12 hours and treatment will be completed within 4 weeks. Based upon treatment outcome, further recommendations will be made.

Standard service

After completing triage, which will be conducted within 24 hours of referral, if the pain does not resolve within provided time, patients will be referred to a physiotherapist conveniently located. From the time of deciding that self-management is not beneficial, an appointment for a face to face assessment will be made within 24 hours, and treatment will be completed within 6-8 weeks. Based upon treatment outcome, further recommendations will be made.

Our collaboration with specialists and our network of other qualified health care professionals will allow us to provide timely referral to specialist services like pain management, orthopaedic consultations, chiropodists, orthotists, occupational health services, and referral for diagnostics. This will ensure holistic management in cases which are not benefited with physiotherapy alone and require further services for achieving a better outcome.
